3M Nomad Aqua 8500 is the most powerful mat when it comes to dirt absorption, thanks to its twin fibre pile construction. A product innovation in which hard scratch yarns and thin moisture-absorbing yarns are tufted side by side to ensure optimum dirt absorption. A luxurious mat with a warm appearance for high-traffic areas (class 33) in prime locations that need to look their best.

Twin Fibre is a unique tufting method used specifically for 3M Nomad Aqua 8500. The separate loop piles create an open structure. The mat absorbs dirt easily, conceals it perfectly and is easy to vacuum. The special mixed pattern is created, among other things, by matching the colour of the scratch yarn to the absorbent yarn.

3M Nomad Aqua 8500 is made from ECONYL®, regenerated nylon. On request, the mat is available with a PVC-free PU backing. A particularly sustainable mat: 70% consists of recycled raw materials.

The PU backing is our revolutionary, environmentally friendly alternative to PVC.

The PU backing:

• is easier to install

• is 20% lighter than a PVC backing

• consumes 30% less energy in production than a PVC backing

• causes 15% less greenhouse gas emissions

• Does not contain plasticisers or chlorine

• Does not discolour the subfloor.

Made from regenerated ECONYL® nylon

ECONYL® nylon is made from 100% waste that would otherwise pollute the earth, such as fishing nets, fabric scraps, old carpets and industrial plastics. Regenerated ECONYL® nylon is processed into yarns for the interior design industry. We use ECONYL® yarns to create more sustainable products and a better environment. Every square metre of entrance mat made with ECONYL® instead of pure nylon delivers a saving of more than 5 kg of CO2 equivalent.
